Bushfires are becoming widely prevalent on earth. Unfortunately, the growth of spread surpasses dramatically that of firemen. Consequently, they are overwhelmed and cannot promptly react to the situation. Therefore, bushfires often get out of control, burn the forests, kill the flora and fauna and force the relocation of families.

An autonomous VTOL aircraft capable of transmitting live visual and thermal imaging over large distances with a high level of endurance. This aircraft provides critical data to help firemen assess the risks of the situation and thus successfully and safely achieve their mission.

Project IGNIS has sparked our interests since June 2020. From then onwards, all of us have enthusiastically carried this spark, considerately researched in different fields, passionately explored diverse ideas, decidedly discarded unrealistic designs and promptly replaced them with new ones till we had our first model prototype ICARUS in place. Now, we are working on building the real size VTOL.
